Artist Statement:

My art is an extension of my emotions and thoughts that I struggle to understand solely in my mind. I build up my work in layers starting with the background focusing on what color I am associating my emotions with, and gradually making my way to the foreground. Each line and shape talking and working with one another, what the viewer sees is a conversation. My works are not constricted by type, but I do find most of my work to be impressionistic as it portrays my emotions and thoughts best.

I primarily work with oil paint because of it's blending properties and it's texture. Smoother paintings tend to be quieter, while one's with lots of texture are loud.

My goal is to understand my mind and why it says the things it does. I also want to understand issues that affect people my age. All of those thoughts I  share to the world, so others may understand themselves and understand each other.
